Mould Control !
We use untreated, Organic Wheatgrass seed. Our sources are thoroughly vetted and provide us with the best Wheatgrass seed available on the market.
Due to Wheatgrass being densely seeded, trapped warm air and moisture can create mould spores.
Waterning
Please keep your Wheatgrass Punnets in a well ventilated, cool area.
Bottom Water every 2nd day. Place in a sink of about .5 cm cold water for about 5 minutes. Let drain and place back on display tray. Spray cold water in between Wheatgrass if looking really dry.
If you notice mould growing within your Wheatgrass, cut the area out with a knife (or scissors), and spray the area and surrounds with White Vinegar.
Vinegar is a non toxic, natural & harmless bacteria control and can be highly effective at controlling unwanted bacterial growth.
Second Growth
It’s also worth noting, once you’ve cut the Wheatgrass, you can allow it to grow a second time for more wheatgrass juice. It does take longer and is not guaranteed to grow the same height. However, after that, I would suggest buying a new batch as the health benefits (nutrients) will get weaker as it’s regrown.
